Why we exist

To bring back the
Indian breed cow.

India once had the finest cattle on earth. Our single objective is to develop and multiply indigenous Indian breeds — and to prove that doing it the traditional way is also the better business.

Annapurna Trust runs the goshala. navodita is how its milk reaches your home.

Milk that nourishes

A2 beta-casein milk from desi cows, carrying its full 4–4.5% fat to your glass.

A village that prospers

Fifty partner farmers, local jobs, and an insemination programme that lifts household income.

Soil that lives again

Cow slurry becomes organic fertiliser — displacing the chemicals that exhausted our land.

How we milk

The calf drinks first.
Twice. Every time.

Before a single drop is collected, the calf is brought to its mother and allowed to feed — twice, at both milkings. What we take is what is genuinely surplus.

  • No adulteration. Nothing is added to navodita milk — not water, not powder, not preservative.
  • No extraction. No oxytocin, no hormones, no forcing a cow to let down milk she isn't ready to give.
  • Nothing removed. The cream stays in. That is why the fat reads 4–4.5% in the bottle.

How we protect the milk

Inside our dairy

72°C to 4°C.
In under ten seconds.

Long, slow heat kills bacteria — and flavour with it. We flash-pasteurise instead, then crash the milk cold before it has time to notice. Taste and fat come through intact.

  • 72°Cpasteurisation
  • 4°Cchilled and held
  • 10sthe whole cycle
  • 4–4.5%fat retained
